The Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Program Services (CAAPS) Aboriginal Corporation is the largest not-for-profit family-focused residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation centre in Northern Australia. In addition to rehabilitation we provide community members support for appropriate referrals and work to prevent homelessness.

CAAPS is a community-based substance misuse treatment service that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who are experiencing alcohol and other drug issues and young people suffering the impacts of volatile substance use. CAAPS has an all-Aboriginal Board drawing current members from the Darwin Region and the Tiwi Islands. CAAPS has been operating for 30 years as a quality community controlled organisation and was recently recognised as finalists in the National QIP Excellence Awards for Community Organisation of the Year.
