Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that operates in Ipswich and the West Moreton region, one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. The area is home to the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people.

Kambu Health was founded to address the growing health needs of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Today, Kambu Health employs more than 70 staff and provides comprehensive medical and specialist services to the Ipswich and surrounding areas.

How LOGIQC helps our business

Kambu Health have been actively using the LOGIQC Quality Management System for 4+ years now. The system has seen us through ISO 9001:2008 certification, RACGP accreditation and soon ISO 9001:2015 re-certification. All three Kambu Health clinics are certified against these standards. Apart from assisting our organisation to provide the evidence required, when staff use the system, they gain a better understanding of the ISO requirements. LOGIQC provides a more centralised system for reporting and monitoring feedback, helping define Kambu Health’s documentation processes, scheduling auditing and compliance requirements and for staff to be able to report repairs, suggest improvements and report incidents. The risk register has helped not only identify Kambu Health’s risks, but assisted with a template to surround each risk with strategies to control these risks. The system is well embedded into Kambu Health’s everyday tasks that all managers now hold staff accountable for overdue tasks. LOGIQC support are always responsive when assistance is required.
