In this interview, we speak with Claire Wimbridge, Owner and Operations Lead at Bridging Excellence and a Logiqc Service Partner. Claire’s journey from user to expert guide for organisations looking to improve their systems highlights how a platform like Logiqc can revolutionise compliance and quality management when implemented effectively. She shares common challenges and misconceptions, offering valuable insights for organisations looking to optimise their operations and fully unlock the potential of any platform.
Professional Journey and Early Interest in Quality, Safety, and Systems Management
Claire's work in this space started in Regional WA. As anyone working in a remote non-profit space would understand, she often wore multiple hats. Over time, funding models shifted and became increasingly tied to compliance and governance. This change led her into quality management, where she discovered a genuine passion for aligning and simplifying everyday processes so they not only meet industry standards but also make sense for the people using them.
First Encounter with Logiqc and the Problems It Solved
We were completely paper-based when we first started, so we were essentially trying to solve everything.
Claire needed to modernise but also automate the processes to make things easier for everyone. Going digital was the logical next step, and Logiqc played a key role in making that transition.
Challenges During Initial Implementation
Even though Claire herself found the platform quite easy to use right from the get-go, moving away from paper-based or manual systems was a tough change for staff, and getting everyone to adopt and use the platform was quite difficult. Effective change management will always play a big part in projects like this.
Honestly, the biggest pain for me was scanning and saving all the documents so we could upload them electronically. That took time, but once that was done, we could move everything online, and it became much easier. Staff started to see the benefits and gain trust in the platform.
Becoming a Logiqc Service Partner
Claire had seen first-hand the difference Logiqc can make to an organisation’s governance, not just where I worked but across other community organisations as well.
My previous workplace had a real community spirit, and we often shared knowledge and supported others who were using the same system or facing the same challenges.
She knew she wanted to start her own business to support organisations going through the same struggles she’d faced. Compliance and governance can feel overwhelming, and she’d seen how easy it is for organisations to overcomplicate things with too many systems, policies, and procedures that don’t actually serve the people using them.
So, when she launched Bridging Excellence, becoming a Logiqc Service Partner was an easy decision.
Logiqc stood out because it genuinely had everything my clients needed. I often call it the “unicorn” of QMS systems!
For her, the next step was obvious – to help other organisations get the most out of it and make compliance work for them, not against them.
Common Misconceptions About Implementing Logiqc
A lot of the time, clients see it as a 'set and forget' system; once it's up and running, they think there’s nothing else needed. But as the organisation grows, the platform must evolve and grow with it to unlock its full potential.
Another common misconception is that transitioning to a new system is always difficult, but Logiqc's ability to integrate seamlessly with other platforms makes the process much smoother.
The Most Common Hurdle and How to Overcome It
To be completely honest, a common issue I see is that organisations often rely on just one or two people to own the platform and manage everything. While this might work initially, you can't depend on a small group to set the tone for the entire organisation. It’s important to involve more people in the development and ongoing management of the system. Otherwise, you risk losing momentum and not achieving the outcomes you expect.
Building the platform takes time, especially when you're inputting all your information, saving contracts, risks, and so on. It’s a lot for just one or two people to manage. Claire's advice is to get more people involved as soon as you can.
You’ll need a group of 'Logiqc champions' to take ownership of the system and bring others on board early in the process.
Client “Aha!” Moments
A great example of a big "Aha!" moment that always stands out to Claire is the accreditation register.
A lot of clients initially think, 'Oh, we do this on a spreadsheet and just send it in anyway, so why change?' But when they build it into the system, linking all the information together and then providing it for the audit, it’s a whole different experience.
The auditor can also log in and see what they need instantly. And that’s when it clicks for them, they think, “Wow, this just made life so much easier”.
Advice for Organisations Starting Out with Logiqc
Make sure you have the buy-in from all the key people and set the tone and scope right from the get-go. You need to know exactly what’s going into the system, what’s not, and who’s responsible for managing it.
A lot of the time, organisations set things up first, only for managers to get involved later and ask, "Why didn’t you do this?". Claire highlights how it’s important to have clarity from the start and to set up core functions together as a whole. It's also critical not to rely on just one person to administer the system but to spread the knowledge around. Succession planning is key, so you don’t lose that critical corporate knowledge down the track.
I also believe it’s so important to use the support that Logiqc provides during the onboarding, you don’t have to go at it alone. By tapping into these supports, you can help simplify your journey and get some handy tips!
What Claire Enjoys Most About Being a Logiqc Partner
I find the Logiqc team is excellent. It feels small enough to be like a close-knit family, despite being such a big platform. Suggestions are heard and acted upon, and the platform is always evolving and expanding. I genuinely believe in it, which is why I’m so happy to recommend it to others.
The values that the Logiqc team have in supporting their clients reflect those of my own. They connect my values, knowledge, and experience with the needs of each client, ensuring a strong fit. Because of Logiqc, I have worked with several clients from various industries that previously would have been outside of my usual network and have formed long-lasting connections.
