How dynamic quality systems can reduce the compliance burden and save a few trees.
This presentation at the RNZCGP GP 17 Quality Symposium will share with the audience the experiences of Hauraki PHO and practices who are involved with an innovative project to implement common systems and processes to manage accreditation, quality, and safety using a cloud based software solution.
Hauraki PHO has collaborated with LOGIQC Pty Ltd to create a customised quality management system pre-loaded with content relevant to Aiming for Excellence. In February 2017 Hauraki PHO began working with practices to implement the system.
The LOGIQC Quality Management System includes functionality for document management, internal audit, continual quality improvement, and the reporting and management of adverse events such as incidents and complaints.
This innovative project has also been implemented by ProCare PHO and it’s expected that 20-30 practices will ultimately be involved.
Central to the success of the project has been the unique collaboration with quality systems specialists LOGIQC leading to a thorough documentation of the requirements of Aiming for Excellence within the software system ready for practices to implement.
Future possibilities for innovation include linking PHO and practice systems to support controlled document sharing, publication of key alerts and information, and network-wide statistical trend reporting.
Being a cloud based solution, certain practical and technical barriers of rurality across the practice network are minimised.
